It occurred to me tonight on my way home, my garage is a Fiat shy of a full on Axis powers Theme
Land cruiser built in Japan
VW sportwagen built in Germany
All I need is a 500 or something.
My grandpa would probably be pissed.

You fascist. We need some allied powers in here.

Are you in Europe? Buy a Dacia and a Skoda as well, they are occupied by Germany at the moment so seems appropriate.
edit: Forgot Dacia is French owned not VW group. Still, the Romanians were Axis lol

Italy copped out halfway through, so I think you're good.

It's the same way for my family. We currently have 2 Germans and an Italian. The old Jap was replaced by a Ford, so while we no longer have a 100% Axis fleet, they are all cars with anti-Semitic origins. Perfect for our Jewish family.

Once that is accomplished find something vehicular from Hungary and/or Romania and really get the full axis thing going.

Well the CLA is built in Hungary, and the transit connect is built in Romania...so there we go.

My car is Japanese, its wheels are German, and the seat is Italian. I'm all Axis'd out.

You have your mission if you choose to accept it.

In a way, this is exactly what your grandfather and all the others were fighting for: that these countries, once enemies, now trade with us in peace (not to mention, they're now important parts of the western alliance).

My dad and I share this same issue.
He has owned only cars made in the USA and UK
Myself? Lots of Japan, Germany, and now Sweden (played for both sides). I've been thinking of picking up a moto guzzi to round out my axis powers though.

What engine does that Sportwagen have? There's a huge Audi engine factory in Hungary, and all VAG products get motors from there, so there's a chance you already have something on this mission. The same factory also builds the TT by the way, so it's not just the CLA, if you want a car.

psst... The US fiat 500 is made in Mexico and the EU one is made in Poland... I won't tell anyone if you don't.

That's hilarious I've got the 2/3 Axis garage going myself.
Italy: Fiat 500 Abarth
Japan: Mazda6 and Honda Fit
We came so close to getting a VW Sportwagen TDI instead of the Mazda6 last year. If only I had realized the opportunity...

Oh, NSU you had to dig deep for that one!

In what way?
![]() 10/17/2014 at 12:22 |

Thank you, sir, I am in your debt. I now have justification to go get an Abarth 500.
- '78 280Z (built in Japan)
- '89 Toyota pickup (built in Japan)
- '04 VW Jetta (actually one of the auf-Deutschland ones)
I wonder if Fiat has a European delivery program? That'd be a fun trip.

No, it's just you don't hear about that company very often. When you think of German cars, that isn't one the pops immediately to mind.

Yeah.
